    If you are starting from the city center of Bergamo, head towards the Funicolare di Bergamo Alta (the funicular railway). Take the funicular to the upper town (Città Alta). Once you arrive, exit the funicular and walk down the street towards Piazza Vecchia. From Piazza Vecchia, continue straight on Via Gombito until you reach Porta San Giacomo. Exit through the gate to the lower town. Once outside, walk straight along Viale Vittorio Emanuele II until you reach the intersection with Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII. Turn left onto Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII and continue walking until you reach the train station (Stazione di Bergamo). From the station, take a train to Lecco (approximately 30 minutes). Upon arrival in Lecco, head towards Lungolario Isonzo, where the Monument to the Fallen is located on the lakeside. Follow the lakeside path, and you will see the monument ahead.
