    If you are starting from the Bergamo Alta (Upper Town), take the funicular railway down to the lower town (Bergamo Bassa). Once you arrive at the lower station, exit and head towards Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Walk straight along this avenue for about 15 minutes until you reach the main square, Piazza Matteotti. From Piazza Matteotti, continue walking straight onto Via XX Settembre, which will lead you to the main shopping street. After about 10 more minutes, turn left onto Via Palestro, and follow it until you reach the intersection with Via della Moscova. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Scala. The Piazza della Scala will be on your right.

    From the Bergamo train station (Stazione di Bergamo), take the bus number 1 or 1A towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Matteotti'. From Piazza Matteotti, walk straight onto Via XX Settembre for about 10 minutes. Then, turn left onto Via Palestro and continue until you reach the intersection with Via della Scala. Piazza della Scala will be on your right.
