If you are in the Città Alta (Upper Town), start at the Piazza della Libertà. Head down Via Gombito towards the funicular station. Take the funicular down to Città Bassa (Lower Town). Once you exit the funicular, walk straight along Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. At the end of the avenue, continue straight onto Via XX Settembre. Follow this road until you reach Piazza Vecchia.
