    Funicular

    If you're in the lower part of Bergamo, take the 'Funicolare di Bergamo Alta' from Viale Vittorio Emanuele. Board the funicular and enjoy the scenic ride up to Bergamo Alta. The journey takes about 8 minutes and you will arrive at the top near the historic area.

    Walking

    Once you exit the funicular station, you will be at the upper part of Bergamo. Follow the signs leading to 'Piazza Vecchia.' Walk straight along Via Bartolomeo Colleoni, which is a beautiful cobblestone street lined with shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the square, which will be on your left. The total walking distance from the funicular station is approximately 500 meters and should take about 5-10 minutes.

    Bus

    If you're closer to the bus terminal or prefer to take a bus, you can catch line 1 or line 8 from various points in Bergamo. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe,' then walk up Via Colleoni for about 300 meters. You'll see the beautiful Piazza Vecchia on your right. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
