From the central area of Bergamo, head towards the main square (Piazza Vecchia). Once you reach the square, take Via Colleoni, which leads towards the Città Alta (Upper Town). Follow this road until you reach the funicular station (Funicolare Città Alta). Take the funicular up to the Città Alta. Once you exit the funicular, walk straight onto Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue walking until you reach Piazzale S. Agostino, where the Saint Augustine Gate is located.

If you are near the Bergamo train station, you can take bus number 1 (or 1A) towards Città Alta. Get off at the stop called 'Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe'. From there, walk up Via Sant'Agostino, and you will arrive at Piazzale S. Agostino, home of the Saint Augustine Gate.
