If you are starting from the Bologna Centrale train station, exit the station and head towards Via Indipendenza. Walk straight along Via Indipendenza for about 15 minutes, passing shops and cafes. As you approach the end of Via Indipendenza, it will merge into Piazza Maggiore. From Piazza Maggiore, walk towards the left side of the square, and you will see the Fontana del Nettuno at the center of Piazza del Nettuno, approximately a 5-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Bologna Centrale train station, take bus number 21 or 25 from the bus stop located just outside the station. The journey will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Piazza Maggiore' stop. From there, walk towards Piazza del Nettuno, which is just a short 5-minute walk to the east of Piazza Maggiore. The Fontana del Nettuno will be clearly visible in the square.
