Upon arrival at Modena train station, exit the station and head towards the main exit. From there, you can either catch a local bus (Line 6 or 7) towards the city center or walk. If you choose to walk, take Via Emilia Est straight towards the city center until you reach Piazza Grande.

From Bologna, you can also take a direct bus to Modena. Head to the Bologna bus station located at Piazza XX Settembre. Look for buses heading to Modena, such as Line 200 or FlixBus services. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at the Modena bus station, exit and follow signs to the city center. You can either walk straight down Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, which leads directly to Piazza Grande, or take a local bus for a quicker route.
