Begin your journey at Bologna's central train station, Bologna Centrale. From the station, take the bus number 20 towards 'San Luca.' The bus stop is located just outside the main entrance of the station. Make sure to purchase your ticket at the ticket machine or from a nearby newsstand before boarding. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. You will need to disembark at the 'San Luca' stop, which is the last stop on the route. From here, you will see the entrance to the park leading up to the Santuario Madonna di San Luca.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from the city center, start at Piazza Maggiore, the heart of Bologna. Head south along Via Rizzoli until you reach Via Indipendenza. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Saragozza. Turn left onto Via Saragozza and continue walking. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach a long portico leading up to the sanctuary, which has about 666 arches. Follow the portico all the way up the hill to Santuario Madonna di San Luca. The walk offers beautiful views and will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
