Colli di Fontanelle, a *frazione* of Sant'Agnello, sits atop the Sorrentine Peninsula, about 2 km from the town center. The name 'Colli di Fontanelle' originates from the numerous water springs that once graced this ancient district.From Piazza Carlo Sagristani, 318 meters above sea level, you can admire the towns of Sorrento, Sant'Agnello, Piano di Sorrento, and Meta, with the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius in the distance. Looking south, there's a view of the Gulf of Salerno and the Li Galli islands. Legend says Ulysses had himself tied to his ship's mast when passing these islands to resist the Sirens' captivating voices.The Parish of Colli di Fontanelle, dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, was built in 1883 by Francesco Saverio Ciampa on the site of an ancient chapel. This single-nave Baroque church overlooks the towns and the Gulf of Naples. The church was restored after sustaining damage in the 1980 earthquake.Each September, Colli di Fontanelle hosts a festival celebrating local agricultural products. Dating back to 1980, the three-day *Mostra Mercato dei Prodotti Tipici* features a market with local grapes, peppers, olives, and more. Since 1999, traditional games have taken place in the main square during the first week of August.The highest point of the village is Picco Sant'Angelo, at 465 meters, marked by a cross. Originally wooden, it was replaced with an iron one in the early 20th century by faithful volunteers.
