If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Naples. Take the A3 highway towards Salerno and exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Follow the signs for Sorrento along the SS145 road, which offers beautiful coastal views. Continue on this road for about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sorrento, look for parking options. The nearest parking lot is Parcheggio Centrale, located at Via degli Aranci, which is a short walk from Palazzo Correale.
Train
For those using public transportation, take the Circumvesuviana train from Naples to Sorrento. Trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Sorrento station, exit and walk towards the town center. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Palazzo Correale. Follow Corso Italia and turn left onto Via San Francesco, Palazzo Correale will be on your right.
Bus
You can also take a SITA bus from Naples to Sorrento. Buses depart from the Naples bus station and the journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Sorrento, disembark at the main bus terminal. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Palazzo Correale. Head towards Corso Italia, and then follow the same path as mentioned in the train guidance.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more comfortable option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing service from Naples directly to Palazzo Correale. The ride will take around 1 hour, depending on traffic. This option will be more expensive, typically costing between €80 to €100. Make sure to confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey.
