Car
If you're traveling by car, take the A3 motorway from Naples towards Salerno. Exit at Pompei Scavi, and follow the signs to the archaeological site. The parking area is available near the entrance, and parking fees can range from €2 to €5 for the day, depending on the location.
Train
For those using public transportation, take the Circumvesuviana train from Naples to Pompei. The train departs from Napoli Centrale station; make sure to board a train heading to Sorrento. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Pompei Scavi station, it's a short 5-minute walk to the ruins. The train ticket costs around €2.80 each way.
Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Naples to Pompeii. Several companies offer this service, including SITA. Buses leave from the Naples central bus station and take approximately 40 minutes to reach Pompeii. Make sure to check the schedule, as the frequency may vary. The bus fare is usually around €3 each way.
Walking
If you are already in Pompei, the ruins are easily accessible on foot. From the city center, simply follow Via Villa dei Misteri, leading directly to the entrance of the archaeological site. It's a pleasant walk of about 15-20 minutes.
