Getting There

Walking
From the main square in Capri, Piazzetta, head towards Via Vittorio Emanuele. Continue straight until you reach the bus terminal. Take the bus to Marina Grande, which is the main port. Once you arrive at Marina Grande, look for the ferries or hydrofoils heading towards Naples. Take a ferry to Naples, and then transfer to the Circumvesuviana train line towards Sorrento. Get off at Ercolano Scavi station. From the station, it's about a 10-minute walk to the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum. Exit the station, turn right onto Corso Resina, and you will see the entrance to the park on your left.

Ferry and Train
Start at Marina Grande in Capri, where you will catch a ferry to Naples. Once you arrive at the port in Naples, look for signs to the Circumvesuviana train station. Buy a ticket for the train towards Sorrento and get off at Ercolano Scavi station. Upon exiting the train station, turn right and walk along Corso Resina. The Archaeological Park of Herculaneum will be on your left side.

Bus
From Capri, make your way to the bus terminal near Piazzetta. Take the local bus to Marina Grande. Upon arrival at Marina Grande, board a ferry to Naples. After arriving in Naples, proceed to the Circumvesuviana train station, and take the train towards Sorrento, getting off at Ercolano Scavi. Walk straight onto Corso Resina, and you will find the entrance to the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum on your left.
