From the main square of Capri, Piazza Umberto I, head towards Via Vittorio Emanuele. Walk straight until you reach the end of the street, where you will find the funicular station. Take the funicular down to Marina Grande. Once you arrive at Marina Grande, exit the station and walk towards the ferry terminal. Look for the ferries heading to Naples. You will need to buy a ticket for the ferry to Naples, which takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the port in Naples, you can either take a local train (Circumvesuviana) to Ercolano Scavi station, which is the closest station to your destination, or take a taxi directly to Via dei Papiri Ercolanesi, 3.

From Piazzetta di Capri, take the bus to Anacapri and get off at the last stop. From Anacapri, take the bus to Marina Grande and then transfer to the ferry to Naples. Once you reach Naples, follow the signs to the Circumvesuviana train station and take the train to Ercolano Scavi. After arriving at Ercolano Scavi station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Via dei Papiri Ercolanesi, 3, which is approximately a 15-minute walk.
