Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town center of Pratovecchio. Head west on Via della Libertà toward Via di Pieve di Romena. Continue straight for about 2 km. You will see signs for Romena Castle directing you to your left. Follow Via di Pieve di Romena, and after approximately 500 meters, you will reach the castle entrance. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that might apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Romena Castle using public transportation, take a local bus from the Pratovecchio bus station. Buses heading towards Stia will stop at 'Pieve di Romena.' The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you get off at Pieve di Romena, walk about 500 meters along Via di Pieve di Romena to reach the castle. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.
Walking
If you are in Pratovecchio and prefer walking, you can hike to Romena Castle. From the town center, follow Via della Libertà and then turn onto Via di Pieve di Romena. The walk is approximately 2.5 km and should take around 30-40 minutes. This route offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
