Bus
From the center of Catania, head to the bus terminal located at Via Archimede. Look for the AST (Azienda Siciliana Trasporti) bus line heading to Taormina. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. After about 30-40 minutes, get off at the Castelmola stop. From there, follow the signs indicating 'Castello di Mola,' which will lead you up a short hill. The castle will be visible from the road.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Catania to Castelmola. Simply find a taxi stand in the city center, or you can call a taxi service. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes. Inform the driver you want to go to 'Castello di Mola' in Castelmola. The taxi will drop you off near the castle entrance.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to experience the area, you can hike from Catania to Castelmola. This is a longer route, approximately 12 kilometers. Start at the Piazza del Duomo in Catania, heading northeast towards Via Etnea. Continue straight until you reach the outskirts of the city, then follow the signs towards Castelmola. Once you reach the village, follow the signs to 'Castello di Mola.' Please note this hike will take several hours, so ensure you have enough time and water.
