Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Catania Cathedral in Piazza del Duomo, head east on Via Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Etnea. Turn left onto Via Etnea and walk for another 300 meters. You'll see Piazza Cavour on your right. The square is easily recognizable by its large, open area and surrounding buildings.

    From the Catania Fish Market (Mercato del Pesce), exit the market and head north on Via Pardo. Continue until you reach the intersection with Via Etnea. Turn right onto Via Etnea and walk for approximately 700 meters. Piazza Cavour will be on your left, just past the intersection with Via dei Crociferi.

    If you are at the Teatro Massimo Bellini, exit and walk southeast on Via Giuseppe Verdi. After about 300 meters, turn left onto Via Etnea. Walk for about 400 meters, and you will find Piazza Cavour on your right.

    If you are near the central train station (Stazione Centrale), you can take bus number 431 or 448 from the bus stop outside the station. Ride for 3 stops and get off at the stop called 'Piazza Cavour'. The square will be directly in front of you as you disembark.
