Train
To reach Portofino from Cinque Terre, start by taking a train from one of the five Cinque Terre villages (Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, or Riomaggiore) to Santa Margherita Ligure. The trains run regularly, and you can check the schedule at the station. Once you arrive at Santa Margherita Ligure, exit the train station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station. Look for the bus line 82, which will take you directly to Portofino. The bus ride is approximately 15 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.
Ferry
Alternatively, you can take a ferry from one of the Cinque Terre villages to Portofino. The ferry service operates from Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, and Manarola. Head to the harbor in your village, and purchase a ticket for the ferry to Portofino. The ride offers stunning views of the coastline and will take around 30-45 minutes, depending on your departure village. Once you arrive in Portofino, follow the signs to the main square and enjoy the beautiful harbor.
