Purchase a ticket to Monterosso from the ticket machine or the ticket office. Trains run frequently, typically every 20-30 minutes. The ride to Monterosso takes about 3-5 minutes. Upon arrival at Monterosso train station, follow the signs that direct you towards the beach and the main village area.

For those who prefer a scenic route, you can hike from Vernazza to Monterosso. Start your hike from Vernazza's main square and follow the well-marked trail that leads directly to Monterosso. The trail is approximately 3.5 kilometers (about 2.2 miles) and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Enjoy the beautiful views of the coastline and vineyards along the way. Upon reaching Monterosso, you will enter the village from the hillside and can descend to the beach area.

Boat
Another enjoyable option is to take a boat from Vernazza or Manarola to Monterosso. You can find the boat dock in Vernazza, where you can purchase tickets for the ferry service. Boats usually run from April to October, with several departures daily. The boat ride offers stunning views of the coast and takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the dock in Monterosso, you will be right near the beach and the village center.
