Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, which is Cortina d'Ampezzo. Take the SS51 road towards Sottoguda. The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and takes about 40 minutes. Once you reach Sottoguda, look for signs directing you to 'Serrai', which is the area where Cascate Franzei is located. Parking is available in designated areas near the entrance to the Serrai di Sottoguda, but be aware that there may be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey at the nearest bus station in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Board the bus heading towards Sottoguda, which typically departs regularly throughout the day. The bus ride should take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive in Sottoguda, follow the signage towards 'Serrai'. It is a short 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop to the entrance of Cascate Franzei. Hiking
