Car
If you are driving, head towards Auronzo di Cadore. From the center of Auronzo, follow the signs for 'Paternkofel' which will direct you onto the SP49 road. Continue along this road for about 5 kilometers. As you approach, you'll notice the stunning views of the mountain. Look for parking areas designated for visitors near the base of the Paternkofel peak.
Public Transportation
To reach Paternkofel by public transportation, take a bus from Cortina d'Ampezzo to Auronzo di Cadore. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Auronzo di Cadore bus station, exit the station and follow the signs for 'Paternkofel.' It's a short walk of approximately 1.5 kilometers towards the SP49 road where you will see signs leading to the peak. If preferred, you can also take a local taxi from the bus station to get closer to the mountain.
