Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Passo Gardena, which is well-signposted throughout the Dolomites. From Selva di Val Gardena, take the Strada del Plan de Gralba (SS242) towards Passo Gardena. Once you reach the Passo Gardena area, follow the signs for Sella del Culac. Parking is available at designated lots near the pass, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around €2-€5 for a few hours.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from major towns in the Dolomites, such as Ortisei or Selva di Val Gardena. The bus service is operated by Südtirol Mobil. From Selva di Val Gardena, take the bus line towards Passo Gardena. The bus will drop you off at the pass, and from there it’s a short walk to Sella del Culac. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited in the off-peak seasons.
Hiking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike to Sella del Culac from nearby trails. One popular route starts at the Seceda area, accessible via a cable car from Ortisei. Once at the top, follow the marked hiking trails towards Passo Gardena. The hike is approximately 3-4 hours and offers stunning views of the Dolomites. Make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots and carry sufficient water and snacks.
