Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, take the A1 Autostrada (Motorway) towards Modena. Use the Modena Nord exit and follow signs for Modena Centro. Once you enter the city, look for signs directing you to Largo Porta Sant'Agostino. There are several parking options nearby, such as Parcheggio Sant'Agostino, which may incur a parking fee (approximately €1.50 per hour). After parking, it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the Palazzo dei Musei.

• Train

  If you're using public transportation, take a train to Modena's central train station (Stazione di Modena). From the station, exit and catch bus line 1 or 6 towards the city center. You can also walk from the station to the Palazzo dei Musei, which takes about 20-25 minutes. Follow Via Emilia towards the east, then turn right onto Largo Porta Sant'Agostino. The bus ticket costs around €1.50 and can be purchased at the station or from ticket machines.

• Bus

  For those already in Modena, local buses can take you to the Palazzo dei Musei. Use bus line 1, 6, or 11, which frequently run from various parts of the city. Make sure to check the local bus schedules for the most accurate timings. A single ticket costs approximately €1.50. Disembark at the 'Sant'Agostino' stop, and the museum will be just a short walk away.

• Walking

  If you're staying in the city center, walking is a great option. From the main square (Piazza Grande), head east along Via Emilia, then turn right onto Largo Porta Sant'Agostino. The Palazzo dei Musei is located at number 337. This walk should take around 10-15 minutes.
