Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Modena. From the A1 highway, take the exit for Modena Nord or Modena Sud. Follow the signs for the city center (Centro).   For those traveling by public transport, take a train to Modena. The main train station is Stazione di Modena, which is well connected to major cities in Emilia-Romagna and beyond. Upon arriving at the train station, exit and locate the nearby bus stop or walk approximately 20 minutes to Piazza della Torre. If you choose to take the bus, line 3 or 4 will take you close to the city center. A single bus ticket costs around €1.50.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, check local schedules for routes that go to Modena. Buses from nearby towns such as Bologna or Reggio Emilia frequently arrive at Modena's central bus station. From the bus station, you can either walk to Piazza della Torre (approximately 15 minutes) or catch a local bus. The local bus costs about €1.50 for a single journey.

• Walking

  Once you reach the center of Modena, walking is a great option to explore the area. From the train or bus station, follow signs to the historical center. It’s a pleasant walk that will take you through charming streets lined with shops and cafes. As you approach Piazza della Torre, you'll see the Torre Civica - Ghirlandina, which is an iconic landmark and a must-see.
