If you are starting from the historic center of Florence, head towards Piazza della Signoria. From there, take Via dei Magistrati and walk straight until you reach the Arno River. Cross the river via the Ponte Vecchio. Once you are on the other side, continue straight onto Via Guicciardini and then turn right onto Via di Belvedere. Follow this road for about 10 minutes until you reach Via di Belvedere, 41, where the Bulwark of San Giorgio is located.

From the main train station, Santa Maria Novella, take Bus 12 or 13 towards 'Piazza Ghiberti'. Get off at the 'Piazza della Libertà' stop. From there, transfer to Bus 14 towards 'Ponte a Greve' and get off at 'Belvedere' stop. Walk straight up Via di Belvedere for about 5 minutes until you reach the Bulwark of San Giorgio at Via di Belvedere, 41.
