From San Gimignano, walk to the main bus station (Piazza della Libertà). Take the bus to Florence (Firenze). The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus station in Florence, walk to the nearest tram stop (Firenze Santa Maria Novella) and take Tram Line 1 towards 'Villa Costanza'. Get off at the 'Viale Fratelli Rosselli' stop and walk towards the 'Piazza della Libertà'. From there, follow the signs to 'Via di Belvedere'. The Walls of Florence are located approximately 20 minutes on foot, following Via di Belvedere.

Start by walking to the San Gimignano train station (the nearest is in Poggibonsi). You can take a bus from San Gimignano to Poggibonsi (about a 15-minute bus ride). From Poggibonsi, take a train to Florence (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). The train ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Santa Maria Novella station, exit and walk to the tram stop to take Tram Line 1 towards 'Villa Costanza'. Get off at 'Viale Fratelli Rosselli' and walk towards 'Piazza della Libertà'. From there, continue to 'Via di Belvedere', which is about a 20-minute walk to the Walls of Florence.
