Bus
From the center of Florence, head to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located near the main squares such as Piazza della Repubblica or Piazza San Giovanni. Look for the ATAF bus line number 7 towards Fiesole. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. The bus will take you directly to Fiesole. Get off at the 'Fiesole' stop, which is the main stop in the town. From there, walk up Via S. Francesco for about 10 minutes, and you will find the Convent San Francesco on your left at Via S. Francesco, 13.
Taxi
If you prefer not to take the bus, you can easily find a taxi in Florence. Simply go to a taxi stand, typically found in areas like Piazza della Repubblica or near major hotels. Inform the driver to take you to 'Convento San Francesco, Via S. Francesco 13, Fiesole.' The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off directly at the entrance of the convent.
Walking
For the more adventurous, you can hike to Fiesole. Start from the central area of Florence, and make your way towards Viale Michelangelo, which offers beautiful views of the city. Continue walking uphill towards Fiesole. The hike is about 8 kilometers and will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Once you reach Fiesole, head to Via S. Francesco and walk for about 5 minutes to find the convent at number 13.
