Bus
From Florence, head to the Santa Maria Novella train station. Look for the SITA bus terminal outside the station. Purchase a ticket to San Gimignano from the ticket office or a vending machine. Board the bus heading to San Gimignano (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes travel time). After arriving in San Gimignano, exit the bus station and walk towards the historic center. Fattoria San Donato is located at Località S. Donato, 6, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. Follow signs towards the Via San Giovanni, then take a left onto Via San Donato, and continue walking straight until you reach the farm.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Florence to Fattoria San Donato. You can find taxis at designated taxi stands around Florence, particularly outside major attractions or the train station. The journey will take around 1 hour and will cost approximately 100-120 euros. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, renting a bicycle in Florence can be a great way to reach Fattoria San Donato. Start from the city center and head towards the Via di San Niccolò, following signs for the countryside. The route is scenic but can be challenging due to hilly terrain. After approximately 20 km of cycling, you will arrive in San Gimignano. From there, follow the directions on foot towards Località S. Donato, 6, which is about a 15-minute walk from the center.
