Walking
From the historic center of Florence, start at Piazza della Signoria. Head southeast towards Via dei Magistrati. Continue straight onto Via della Ninna, which will lead you to the Arno River. Once you reach the river, take a right onto Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia. Walk along the river for about 10 minutes, enjoying the view, until you reach Ponte alla Carraia. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Via dei Bardi. Follow this street until you reach Piazza dei Cavalleggeri, where the Florence National Central Library is located at number 1.

If you are near the Santa Maria Novella train station, take bus number 23 from the bus stop outside the station. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Cavalleggeri' stop. From there, walk back towards the piazza for about 5 minutes. The Florence National Central Library will be on your left at Piazza dei Cavalleggeri, 1.
