Walking
If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head south along Via de' Calzaiuoli towards Piazza della Signoria. Continue straight until you reach the Ponte Vecchio. Cross the bridge and turn left onto Via Guicciardini. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the street, then turn right onto Viale dei Guicciardini. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Viale Filippo Strozzi. Turn left onto Viale Filippo Strozzi, and the Giardino della Fortezza will be on your right.
Public Transport - Bus
From the main train station, Santa Maria Novella, head to the bus stop located right outside the station. Look for bus line 13 or 22, which both head towards the Fortezza da Basso area. Board the bus and ride for about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Fortezza' stop. From there, walk north along Viale Filippo Strozzi for a few minutes, and you will arrive at Giardino della Fortezza.
Walking
If you are near the Uffizi Gallery, exit the gallery and head towards Piazza della Signoria. From there, take Via dei Leoni, which leads you to the Arno River. Cross the river using the Ponte Santa Trinita. After crossing, turn right on the other side and walk along the river until you reach the next bridge, Ponte alla Carraia. Cross that bridge, then turn left onto Via della Scala. Continue until you reach Viale Filippo Strozzi and turn right. The Giardino della Fortezza will be on your right.
