Walking
If you are in the historic center of Florence, start at the Piazza della Repubblica. From the square, head towards the Via dei Calzaiuoli, a pedestrian street that connects to the Duomo. Walk straight along Via dei Calzaiuoli until you reach the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore). Once you're facing the Duomo, turn left onto Via dei Servi. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Marco. At the square, take a moment to enjoy the scenery and then continue straight onto Via Cavour. Walk along Via Cavour for about 10 minutes, and you will see the Obelisco on your right as you approach the Piazza della Libertà.

Public Transport
From the central train station, Santa Maria Novella (Firenze SMN), take bus number 1 towards 'Sestese' and get off at the 'Piazza della Libertà' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the obelisk which will be visible in the square. The walk should take no more than 5 minutes.

If you are at the Uffizi Gallery, exit the gallery and head towards the Ponte Vecchio. Cross the bridge, then turn left onto Via Guicciardini. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Via dei Serragli, then turn right. Continue straight until you reach Piazza della Libertà where the Obelisco is located. The walk will take approximately 20 minutes.
