Walking
If you are in the historic center of Florence, you can easily reach the Opera del Duomo Museum on foot. Start at the Piazza della Signoria, which is a central gathering place. From there, head east towards Via dei Neri for about 300 meters. Continue straight until you reach a large intersection with Via dei Calzaiuoli. Turn left onto Via dei Calzaiuoli and walk straight for approximately 200 meters. You will see the majestic Florence Cathedral (Duomo) in front of you. The museum is located at Piazza del Duomo, 9, right next to the cathedral.
Public Transport - Bus
If you are further away, you can take a bus to get closer to the museum. Look for Bus Line 1 or 7, which stops at 'Duomo' near the cathedral. If you are at the Santa Maria Novella Train Station, head to the bus stop located outside the station and board either of these buses. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Duomo' stop. From there, the Opera del Duomo Museum is just a short walk away. Head towards the cathedral, and the museum entrance is located at Piazza del Duomo, 9.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi to the museum. Taxis are available throughout Florence. Simply hail one on the street or find a taxi stand. Tell the driver to take you to 'Piazza del Duomo.' The ride should take around 10 minutes from most central locations, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the museum entrance is located at Piazza del Duomo, 9, right next to the cathedral.
