If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), head south on Via Roma towards Piazza della Repubblica. Continue straight until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. From there, take Via Strozzi which will lead you to Via de' Tornabuoni. Turn left on Via de' Tornabuoni and continue until you reach the Ponte Santa Trinità. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Via Guicciardini. After a few blocks, turn right onto Via dei Serragli. Follow this street and it will lead you directly to Piazza di S. Pier Maggiore.

Starting from the Uffizi Gallery, exit the gallery and head towards Piazza della Signoria. From there, take Via dei Neri and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via dei Ghibellini. Turn left onto Via dei Ghibellini, then take an immediate right onto Via della Condotta. Follow this street until you reach Via dei Serragli and turn left. Continue straight on Via dei Serragli until you arrive at Piazza di S. Pier Maggiore.
