Walking
From the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), exit the cathedral and head east on Piazza del Duomo. Continue straight for about 200 meters. You will pass by the Galleria degli Uffizi on your left. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn right onto Via Roma and walk for about 100 meters. You will see the entrance to Piazza della Repubblica on your left.
Walking
If you are at the Baptistery, exit and walk straight onto Piazza del Duomo. Head towards the Cathedral and then follow the previous directions. Alternatively, you can walk down Via dei Calzaiuoli from the Baptistery, which will lead you directly to Piazza della Repubblica in about 5 minutes.
Public Transport
While the distance from the Duomo to Piazza della Repubblica is short and walkable, if you prefer to take public transport, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Piazza San Lorenzo. From there, you can take bus number 1 towards Careggi. Get off at the stop 'Piazza della Repubblica', which is just a few meters from your destination. Note that a single ticket costs €1.50 and is valid for 90 minutes.
