Walking
If you are already in the Duomo neighborhood, the most straightforward way to reach Piazza del Duomo is by walking. Simply head towards the large dome structure that is the Florence Cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore). As you walk, you will pass various shops and cafes. Follow the signs leading to the Cathedral, which is a prominent landmark. Once you reach the Cathedral, you will be in Piazza del Duomo.
Public Transport
Although the best way to reach Piazza del Duomo from anywhere in the Duomo neighborhood is by walking, if you are coming from a more distant location within Florence, you can use public transport. You can take a bus to the 'Duomo' stop. Ticket prices vary depending on the route but generally cost around €1.50 for a single journey. Once you arrive at the 'Duomo' bus stop, follow the signs toward the Cathedral, which will lead you directly to Piazza del Duomo.
