If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head south on Via de' Cerretani until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. From there, take Via Roma, which will lead you to the square. Continue straight until you arrive at Piazza della Signoria, which is just a short walk away.

From the Florence Train Station (Santa Maria Novella), take bus line 11 or 17. Get off at the stop named 'Piazza San Firenze.' From there, it is a short walk to Piazza della Signoria. Head northwest on Via del Proconsolo, and follow the signs to the square.
