    If you're starting at the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), exit the cathedral and head south down Via dell'Oriuolo. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Lorenzo. Turn left onto Via de' Ginori, which will take you past the Medici Chapels on your right. Continue walking until you reach Piazza della Repubblica, which will be ahead of you. The entire journey is about 15 minutes on foot.

From there, head northeast on Via dei Calzaiuoli, which is a main pedestrian street. Follow this street directly to Piazza della Repubblica, which will be on your left. This walk takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

    If you are near Santa Croce, exit the basilica and head towards the Arno River. Walk along the riverbank until you reach Ponte alle Grazie, then cross the river.
