Walking
If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head southeast on Via de' Cerretani towards Piazza della Repubblica. Continue straight until you reach Piazza della Signoria. From there, take Via dei Gondi and continue onto Via de' Neri. Keep walking until you reach the Arno River. Cross the Ponte alle Grazie. Once across, turn left onto Lungarno Corsini and continue until you reach the intersection with Viale Michelangelo. Turn right and follow Viale Michelangelo until you see signs for Piazzale Donatello on your left.
Public Transport - Bus
From the central train station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella, take Bus 12 or 13 towards 'Firenze Rovezzano.' Get off at the 'Piazzale Donatello' stop. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you disembark, walk a short distance to the piazzale where you can enjoy views of the city.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hail a taxi from any location in Florence. Simply tell the driver 'Piazzale Donatello.' The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off directly at the piazzale.
