Walking
If you're starting from the heart of Oltrarno, one great landmark to reference is the Santo Spirito Basilica. Begin your walk by heading south on Via Santo Spirito and cross over the bridge at the end of the street, which leads you to the beautiful Ponte Vecchio. After crossing the bridge, continue straight on Via Guicciardini until you reach Piazza de' Pitti. The entrance to The Boboli Gardens is located right at the edge of this square.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer taking public transport, you can catch a bus from the Oltrarno area. Look for bus stop 'Piazza della Calza' and take bus number 11 or 36 towards 'Piazza San Marco'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza de' Pitti'. From there, you can easily walk to the entrance of The Boboli Gardens, which is located just across the square. Please note that a single bus ticket costs around €1.50 and is valid for 90 minutes.
