Getting There

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the city center (Piazza De Ferrari), walk to the nearest bus stop (De Ferrari) and take bus number 1 towards 'Brignole'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza della Vittoria'. From there, transfer to bus number 20 towards 'Voltri' and get off at the stop 'Lanterna'. After getting off, walk about 10 minutes up the hill following the signs to the Lighthouse of Genoa, which will be on your left.

    If you prefer to walk, start from the historic center at Piazza De Ferrari and head towards Via XX Settembre. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront at Porto Antico. From there, follow the waterfront promenade (Corso Italia) eastwards until you reach the entrance of the old port. Keep walking until you see the iconic Lighthouse of Genoa (La Lanterna) rising up ahead. This route will take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on your pace.
