    Getting There

    Walking

    Starting from the Herculaneum archaeological site, exit the site and head towards Corso Resina. Walk along Corso Resina until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Continue straight on Via Roma for about 10 minutes until you reach the train station, Ercolano Scavi. From there, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. Get off at the Salerno station. Once you arrive at Salerno, exit the train station and follow the signs to the waterfront. From the waterfront, you can either walk or take a local bus towards Località Croce. If walking, head east along the waterfront promenade, then turn right onto Via Croce, which will lead you up to Arechi Castle. The walk may take around 30 minutes from the waterfront to the castle.

    Public Transport

    From Herculaneum, make your way to the Ercolano Scavi train station. Board the Circumvesuviana train heading towards Sorrento. After about 20 minutes, disembark at Salerno station. Once you are at Salerno, look for the local bus stop outside the station. Take bus number 8 or 12, which will take you toward Località Croce. The bus journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to Arechi Castle and follow the signs or ask locals for directions uphill to the castle.
