Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Herculaneum, head towards the main road, Corso Resina. Walk along Corso Resina until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Here, you will find a bus stop. From this point, you can take the local bus Line 1 towards Portici. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Disembark at the 'Portici - Università' stop. Once you get off the bus, walk along Via Università for about 5 minutes. The Orto Botanico di Portici will be on your left at Via Università, 100.

    From Herculaneum, you can take the Circumvesuviana train to Portici. Head to the Herculaneum train station and board a train towards Naples. Get off at the Portici-Ercolano station (approximately a 5-minute ride). After exiting the station, turn left onto Corso Garibaldi and walk straight until you reach Via Università. Turn right onto Via Università and walk about 10 minutes. The Orto Botanico di Portici is located at Via Università, 100 on your right.
