Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the Herculaneum Archaeological Site entrance. Exit the site and head south on Via IV Novembre. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Corso Resina. Turn left onto Corso Resina and walk for approximately 1 km. You will pass the Herculaneum train station on your right. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of Corso Resina. From here, take the first exit onto Via Roma. Follow Via Roma for about 700 meters, then turn right onto Viale delle Repubbliche Marinare, which will lead you towards the waterfront. Walk along the waterfront for around 1 km, and you will see signs directing you to Torre del Greco. Continue walking until you reach the Basilica di Santa Croce, located at Piazza Santa Croce, 1.

    From Herculaneum, walk to the nearby Herculaneum train station. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples and get off at the Torre del Greco station, which is about a 5-minute ride. Once you arrive at Torre del Greco, exit the station and walk straight ahead onto Corso Umberto I. Continue walking for about 1 km until you reach Piazza Santa Croce. The Basilica di Santa Croce will be on your left.
