Walking
From the Herculaneum archaeological site, exit and head towards the main road, Corso Resina. Turn left and walk along the road for approximately 500 meters until you reach the Circumvesuviana train station. Take the train towards Naples and get off at the Pozzuoli stop, which takes about 30 minutes. After exiting the station, head towards the seafront (Lungomare) and follow the signs towards the Phlegraean Fields, which is about a 15-minute walk from the station.
Public Transport
Start by walking to the nearest Circumvesuviana station from Herculaneum. Board the train towards Naples. After about 30 minutes, get off at Pozzuoli. Once you arrive at Pozzuoli, exit the train station and take bus number 151 or 152 towards 'Campi Flegrei'. Get off at the 'Campi Flegrei' stop, and from there, it's a short 10-minute walk to reach the Phlegraean Fields.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can opt for a taxi. Simply ask any local for a taxi service or use a ride-hailing app if available. Provide the driver with the destination 'Phlegraean Fields, Pozzuoli'. The taxi ride will take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.
