Walking
From the Herculaneum archaeological site, exit the site and head towards the main road, Corso Resina. Turn right on Corso Resina and walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. At this intersection, you will find a small park on your left. Continue straight onto Via Roma for another 1 km, and you will arrive at the train station, Ercolano Scavi. From here, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Salerno. After a short ride, get off at Vietri sul Mare station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards the town center. Walk straight for about 500 meters, and you will reach Piazza Matteotti, which is a central square in Vietri sul Mare.
Train
From Herculaneum, walk to the Ercolano Scavi train station located about 1 km from the archaeological site. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Salerno. The train ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Vietri sul Mare station, exit the station. Walk towards the town center, following the signs. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach Piazza Matteotti.
Bus
From Herculaneum, make your way to the nearest bus stop on Corso Resina. Look for a bus service that heads towards Salerno or Vietri sul Mare. The buses are usually scheduled every 30 minutes. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you want to go to Vietri sul Mare. After approximately 30 minutes, the bus will drop you off near the town center. From there, walk for about 300 meters to reach Piazza Matteotti.
