Ferry
To reach Procida from Herculaneum, you will need to take a ferry. Start by walking to the Ercolano Scavi train station. From there, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Napoli Garibaldi. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at Napoli Garibaldi station. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the ferry terminal located at Molo Beverello. You can purchase a ticket for the ferry to Procida at the terminal. The ferry ride will take about 40 minutes, and upon arrival at Procida, you can explore the beautiful island.
Train and Bus
An alternative route is by taking the train and then a bus. Begin your journey at Ercolano Scavi train station and take the Circumvesuviana train to Napoli Centrale. Once at Napoli Centrale, transfer to the Metro Line 1 and head to Garibaldi station. From there, you can catch a bus (EAV) heading to Procida. Ensure you check the bus schedule ahead of time as it may vary. The combined travel time can be around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on waiting times.
