    From Herculaneum, walk to the Ercolano Scavi train station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head east on Via IV Novembre, then turn left onto Via Mare. Once you reach the station, take a train towards Avellino. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Mercogliano station.

    Once you arrive at Mercogliano station, exit the station and turn left onto Via Roma. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Santuario. Turn right onto Via Santuario, and the Sanctuary of Montevergine will be on your left after about 1 kilometer.

  • Bus

    From Herculaneum, walk to the nearest bus stop that services routes to Avellino (check local bus schedules). Once you arrive in Avellino, transfer to a local bus heading towards Mercogliano. Get off at the stop closest to the Sanctuary of Montevergine, and walk the remaining distance along Via Santuario.
