Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Herculaneum, head towards Corso Resina. Walk along Corso Resina for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Via dei Pini. Turn left onto Via dei Pini and continue walking for another 1 km. You will see signs for Vesuvius National Park as you approach the entrance. The entrance will be on your right at Sentiero del Gran Cono.

  • Public Transport

    From Herculaneum, walk to the nearest Circumvesuviana station (Ercolano Scavi). Take the train towards Sorrento and get off at the Pompeii Scavi stop. From there, catch the EAV bus towards Vesuvius. The bus will take you directly to the entrance of Vesuvius National Park at Sentiero del Gran Cono.

  • Bike

    If you're renting a bike in Herculaneum, start at the main square. Head towards Corso Resina and ride along it for approximately 1.5 km. Take a left on Via dei Pini and continue for another 1 km. Look for the signs that direct you to Vesuvius National Park, which will be on your right at Sentiero del Gran Cono.
