Getting There

    From the Herculaneum Archaeological site, exit the gates and head towards the main street, Corso Resina. Turn left and walk along Corso Resina for approximately 1.2 kilometers. You will pass various shops and cafes along the way. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn right onto Via Roma and walk for about 400 meters. You will see the signs for Pompei directing you towards the train station. Continue walking straight until you reach the Pompei Scavi train station.

    Once at Pompei Scavi train station, purchase a ticket for the next train towards Sorrento. The train journey to Pompei is about 10 minutes. When you arrive at Pompei station, exit the train and follow the signs towards the main exit of the station.

  • Walk

    After exiting the Pompei station, head straight towards the main entrance of the archaeological site, which is located at the end of Via Villa dei Misteri. The entrance is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station. You will see the entrance gates to the archaeological site on your left-hand side.
