Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central area of Herculaneum, start at the Herculaneum Archaeological Park entrance. Head southeast towards Via dei Papiri. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, then turn right onto Corso Resina. Walk along Corso Resina for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and eateries. Once you reach the end of Corso Resina, continue straight onto Via Roma for another 500 meters until you reach Piazza Tasso in Sorrento.

  • Train

    From Herculaneum, walk to the Ercolano Scavi train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the archaeological site. Catch a Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento (make sure to check the train schedule). The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Sorrento station, exit and walk straight for about 10 minutes to reach Piazza Torquato Tasso.

  • Bus

    From Herculaneum, walk to the nearest bus stop on Corso Resina. Board the EAV bus towards Sorrento. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
