    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Herculaneum, head east on Corso Resina towards Via Roma. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. Turn right onto Via Giuseppe Garibaldi and continue for another 500 meters. You will see signs for Vesuvio as you approach the area. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the entrance to Vesuvio. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 km, which should take around 20-25 minutes.

    From Herculaneum, walk to the nearest Circumvesuviana train station, which is Ercolano Scavi. This is about a 10-minute walk from the center of Herculaneum. Take the train towards Sorrento and get off at the Pompei Scavi stop. From there, you can catch a local bus (Bus EAV) that goes directly to the Vesuvio National Park entrance.
