Getting There

Walking

From the center of Herculaneum, head east on Corso Resina towards Via Roma. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. From Herculaneum, walk to the nearest Circumvesuviana train station, which is Ercolano Scavi. This is about a 10-minute walk from the center of Herculaneum. Take the train towards Sorrento and get off at the Pompei Scavi stop. From there, you can catch a local bus (Bus EAV) that goes directly to the Vesuvio National Park entrance.
